about the gallery:
HISTORY
In December of 1992, semantics gallery was founded as a co-operative, alternative exhibition space (making it one of the longest surviving co-ops in the city). Since we do not rely on profit to survive, we have the freedom to provide un-restricted exhibition opportunities to emerging and non-traditional artists. Originally located in Over-the-Rhine, in 1995 semantics was flooded out and forced onto the streets. We have since found home at 1107 harrison ave in the Brighton area of Cincinnati, right off central parkway and just south of the western hills viaduct.
CALENDAR
Openings are generally held on the first saturday of every month from 7-10 pm, although check back a few weeks in advance to be sure as it sometimes varies.
HOURS
Gallery hours are saturdays from 12-4 or by appointment with the artist currently exhibiting.
LOCATION
We are located at 1107 Harrison Ave. in the Brighton area of Cincinnati, Ohio.
