Sleepers	Apr 10 2009 1:42 PM Greetings Do excuse the 'spam', but I have three new songs up on the page, each from a different upcoming album. One from the sleepers / hellmouth split, which will be out in the next few weeks on cassette from Marygarden Tapes. One from the first full length Sleepers album (along with the other two 'untitled' songs), also coming out on Marygarden, but on CD. One from the collaboration album between Sleepers and Jason "EVIL" Covelli, with all words and voice by Jason, and all sounds and editing from myself. I have been working endlessly on new material for Sleepers, and I am very excited for the progression of this project. I believe it may have even taken over Bicycle Sighs' place as my 'main' project. A lot of the albums listed on the page are still seeking homes, but I do believe I will be able to maintain a solid and consistent output, as Sleepers has unlocked something deep inside of my mind. Archaic Fetishism Records	Jan 28 2009 1:15 AM The second release in the Archaic Fetishism series is a four way split cassingle featuring bizzaro carnival pop songs by Eskimeaux, Raindrops Falling From Heaven, The New Heaven And The New Earth, and Snow Caps. Eskimeaux is Gabrielle Smith, also known for her work as a member of Br'er. Eskimeaux starts the set with the aptly named "Dreamy Pop Song II," an icy, distant song that embodies the bittersweet loneliness and overwhelming temptation of unobtainable love. Raindrops Falling From Heaven is the solo work of Ugh God percussionist Dan Angel. Side A closes with Angel's debut track "Old Lady Love," an infectious piece of electronic pop. The New Heaven and the New Earth is the latest from Roger Martinez, also known as a member of Br'er and a founding member of The Private Sea. Side B opens with "I Live in The Trees," an ode to alienation in the form of an acid-soaked carousel waltz. Snow Caps is the brainchild of Andrew Keller, who also plays in Hermit Thrushes. Snow Caps closes the set with "Winter Pop Song", a summation of the diverse range of sounds heard on Archaic Fetishism 2 that simulatenously bears Keller's unmistakable songwriting fingerprint. Archaic Fetishism 2 is a limited release of 100 cassingles packaged in handmade felt pouches, assmembled by hand with hot glue,

Edible Onion	Jan 23 2009 5:47 AM ::: Pre-Release Sale ::: Br'er: I'm a Kid Again / I'm Sorry Mom Single Edible Onion is proud to announce its first vinyl release, a 7" single from Br'er, featuring alternate recordings of "I'm a Kid Again" and "I'm Sorry Mom." The two tracks orginally appeared on Br'er's debut full length "Of Shemales and Kissaboos," and have long been audience favorites in Br'er's live sets. The version of "I'm a Kid Again" featured on the 7" was orignally recorded by Audio Confusion in Mesa, Arizona, during Br'er's first US tour. "I'm Sorry Mom" was recorded mostly live by Dan Angel in Philadelphia on his digital sixteen track. The songs as they appear here capture the raw, chathartic sound that characterized the group's early live performances, and differ dramatically from their melancholy readings on "Of Shemales and Kissaboos. " As with every Edible Onion release, each "I'm a Kid Again/I'm Sorry Mom" 7" is packaged in handmade art. For this release, each record jacket has a hand painted outer jacket, with vellum windows cut out to reveal a hand painted inner jacket. The painting was done with a mixture of acrylic and watercolor paint on oak tag (outside) and American Masters printmaking paper (inside). As well, all of the text is handwritten. To celebrate this occasion, Edible Onion is now offering a pre-release sale of $3 ($6 with shipping). The sale will run until the offical release date of February
Bicycle Sighs	Jan 6 2009 3:18 AM As you may or may not already know, in January of 2009, I am embarking on a two month tour with a friend, Al, of the project My Cell Phone Is Better Than Your Cell Phone (http://www. myspace. com/mycellphoneisbetter). This tour will span the entire length of the United States. We are travelling by Greyhound busline. It will begin January 8th in New York and end March 3rd in Michigan. I was going to wait until the entire schedule was completely done, but as people have been procrastinating, I figured now is as good a time as any. The majority of these shows are free, but as we do not have complete control over such things all of the time, specific shows are charged at the door, though they are very few. Regardless, any donations along the way are more than appreciated, as we are doing this completely independently and out of our pockets. We will be busking at various points on the tour, recording all over the place, and have many things for purchase, to help us eat along the way. You can read much more detailed information, including that of merchandise and many other things, in this Blog. Please check there, to see if we are coming to a city/state/theatre near you. I apologise if you already full well know about this tour, or if you aren’t in the United States, as this is a mass comment. Come out to a show, have fun, mope around, get intoxicated and take off your clothes while running into a snow drift. Whatever floats your Winnebago.
