    Slychosis is the musical brainchild of Gregg Johns. Johns is the primary composer, vocalist, guitarist, and keyboardist. Todd Sears has contributed percussion, writing and vocals in varying degrees across albums. The music fuses classic prog, metal, psychedelia and neo-prog.

Guest musicians on "Mental Hygiene" include: Jeff Hamel of Majestic on guitar and keyboards/Bones Joshua Theriot of Abigail's Ghost on guitar/Bridget Shield on vocals/and Mike Fortenberry on trumpet. Previous members include: Chip Griffith- Saxophone/Jeremy Mitchell - Drums/ and James Walker- Bass Guitar and Vocals.
