The Stephen Pointer Band hails out of Fort Worth, Texas, and is fronted by local songwriter Stephen Pointer. Pointer began his musical career at the age of 12, training under Texas Blues legend “Sugar” Dave Millsap. He continued to hone his skills through high school and college, taking every opportunity to play with great musicians, strengthen his songwriting talent, and develop his stage presence to rival any seasoned artist.
It was at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth where Pointer met fellow band mate Herbie Rolph. Making an instant connection, the two started The Stephen Pointer Band, and instantly began to create a buzz in the local music scene. With a growing fan base and a solid live show, The Stephen Pointer Band has made a name for themselves, evident in the multiple nominations and awards received through the Dallas/Fort Worth music scene.
The last 5 years have been a time of change and growth for the band. Their first album “Sixes and Sevens,” released in 2006 was a solid freshman effort, showcasing the bands writing talent and organic country sound. The Stephen Pointer Band continues to earn their fans, and wow country music audiences opening for well-known artists such as Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers and Kevin Fowler.
2008 saw the release of “State of Mind,” bringing fans the unmistakable sound of outlaw country and Texas spirit. The band shows their versatility with crowd favorite “Shut up and drink” through a classic guitar battle and the essence of a live performance. With tasteful chord progressions and a tight rhythm section the album “State of Mind” easily finds its way to the top of Texas Country fans play lists.
Currently joining front man Pointer and Rolph on bass, is drummer Will Wallace on drums and Clint Coleman on lead guitar. With many years of training, writing, and performing, these guys can give fans what they need – an amazing live show that will get you on the dance floor and a song stuck in your head.
Catch The Stephen Pointer Band throughout Texas and Oklahoma on an ambitious touring schedule. Expect a new album in the next year that will once again, prove to fans that this band is the real deal.

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.
