Biografía
Since their inception in 2007, Supervolcano has quickly become one of the driving forces behind a growing resurgence in Boston's indie rock scene. The band incorporates sweeping melodies, harmonic tension, and off-meter time signatures while texturizing their unique soundscapes with guitar effects and breakneck rhythms. Counting Glassjaw, Fugazi, Faraquet, Incubus, and At the Drive-In/Mars Volta among their musical mentors, Supervolcano has been able to capture the essence of their icons while creating something wholly their own. Their eponymous debut LP fully demonstrates the raw energy and groovy vibes of their spellbinding live performances as well as showcases their burgeoning songwriting prowess. With pieces ranging from the anthemic to the ethereal, this profound, self-titled effort is a sonic testament to the depths of emotion, to the freedom of youth, and to true artistic expression. The album was produced and mixed by Faraquet/Medications frontman, and D.C. heavyweight, Devin Ocampo at Inner Ear Studios (Minor Threat, Fugazi, Q and not U) in Arlington, VA. In October of 2010, SuperVolcano finished recording their new EP at Magpie Cage with producer J. Robbins (Jawbox, Dismemberment Plan, Burning Airlines). The record establishes SV's ability to evolve their style into new grounds and feels by expanding upon their soul and funk influences. Insides Out offers a more digestible sound while still holding on to their unique arrangements and forms. The band released Insides Out EP in June 2010 and continues to tour the northeast in support of it. The band will be appearing at SXSW in Austin, TX once again in 2011, after which they will begin pre-production on a new full length album. -

Suena como
The Volcano Goddess, Pele, whispering intricate directions to a would-be explorer concerning the whereabouts of the heart of Gaia. Unfortunately Pele's "whisper" completely incinerates any semblance of the poor traveler's ears and leaves him just as clueless and, now, deaf.
