In 2005 a few fellow Exmouthians starting patching together some riffage and tunes...but then one of them went to Sri Lanka for six months.
Returning golden brown, fresh and inspired with Indian chirp-core, the riffs returned. After getting well narked there were only two of them, wanting a fuller sound, they ventured in search of more members. Luckily, friends and previous band members were returning from university with no real jobs and prospects, and had nothing else better to do than lay down some chirp.
Conceived originally as a summer project to keep them busy, Tapestries played a few gigs, made a rough and ready recording in a friend's living room and recently "rocked" Falmouth University, which is where Tom now resides. Al (Try) has recently been on an internship making horror films there also, while Skins potters about in Exmouth in a post-graduation haze working first in life-sapping office jobs and then in bookshops.
Tapestries play music in the vein of Faraquet, The Redneck Manifesto and Explosions in the Sky, and try to get gigs when they can.

"Exciting, Striding and assured. It has an energy reminiscant of everything that was good about the Klaxons debut album.." - BBC Radio Bristol.
