Formed in early 2006, The Action Mob is a collective of musicians from Toronto, each member drawn from their own respective bands. Quite simply put, the members of The Action Mob join together to form a singular, more powerful, musical entity similar to the combined tiger-robots of Voltron.
Stay tuned for new songs and show info in the very near future.
That was a great set at The Supermarket. An eclectic kaleidoscope of retro-pop confection, lounge-jazz, and indie-rock. Equal parts The Free Design, Stereolab, and UK swagger. The key word here is catchy. And irresistably so. Warm soundscapes seamlessly blended with vivacious vocals, bouncy guitar-riffs and winding keys. With this synthesis of influences, The Action Mob casts an intoxicating spell.
That was a great set at The Silver Dollar, infectious propulsive keyboard-laced rock bursting with energy. Action Mob is definitely a musical pick-me-up that's both alluring and dynamic. A band that delivers just about everytime I've seen them.
whats up? i wanted to show this site to everyone its really cool...it tells you if anyone we go to school with has a crush on you, i was really suprised by some of the people who it said like me.
Stellar set at The El Mocambo, a band unequalled in it's vision, a jazzanova-gypsy, saccharine pop, multicoloured keyboards, and infectious guitars. A band that blurs the lines between French-jazz-pop and neo-psychadelia. Impressive.
That was an amazing set at The Silver Dollar, psych-tinged rock, powerfully lush sound, shimmering grooves. Andrea radiates such flirtatious magnetism and each member, brings just the right amount musically, to create something more than the sum of it's parts. Really entertaining to watch. The perfect retro-pop spectacle. Well done.
Heya!! A howdy to Chris and Ben - this stuff sounds great - lookin' forward to catching a show!
Wanted to let you know that I've got a rough-cut video online in a Yahoo contest. It's for "The Prisoner", a track Chris played bass on in the studio. Check 'er out:
