Bio
the catch is currently carly nicklaus on guitar and vocals, amy rockwell on keyboards and backing vocals, justin harcus (of the pale pacific fame) on lead bass, and garrett lunceford (of the divorce fame) on drums. and its totally awesome and you should check it out. .. .. here is our old bio. we used to be all girls. . . .. .. Let me introduce to your four of the sassiest women on record you'll meet this year. Ladies and gents, I give you The Catch. .. .. Their debut, Get Cool (Made in Mexico Records), is a 10 song treat full of bravura and bite. It's the perfect combination of sweet, sexy, and sometimes bratty rock with new-wavy pop hooks you can't get out of your head. Sonic references- the Go Go's, Imperial Teen, Hot Hot Heat, Josie & the Pussycats... .. The Catch has shared the stage and toured with Nada Surf, Death Cab for Cutie, Damien Jurado, The Bangs, Vendetta Red, The Thermals, United State of Electronica, British Sea Power, Aqueduct, The Divorce, and more... .. Its also worthy to note, front woman Carly Nicklaus pulls double diva duty in that other Seattle band you've might have heard of, United State of Electronica. Drummer Alissa Newton spends time in For Better or For Awesome with hubby Andrew Moore of Kane Hodder. Bass player Jenny Jimenez spends her time as a photographer and a budding torch singer. Keyboardist Amy Rockwell, despite being the world biggest comeback queen, once spent time drumming for labelmates Dolour. .. .. .. "Flaunting a rare femininity that combines unaffected flirtation with a coy toughness, they are the band equivalent to that confident kind of woman who holds the room's attention without seeking anyone's approval" ..The Stranger.. .. .. "Freewheeling pop with plenty of sass and enough electric guitar bite to send their audience scrambling for ear plugs" ..Rockrgrl.. -
