Last year we missed seeing you play live in pittsburgh 3 times or so due to rehabs and/or drunken debacles. we just started to forgive ourselves. Thanks for the music. very much so.,
I first met you (and Exene) at a BLACK FLAG show @ "Backstage At The Victoria" in the City (SxFx), August 1982! It was quite a line-up and truly a classic venue!!! I lived in Idaho (for two years) at the time (sister, Linda, lived @ Fillmore & Oak in the City) . . . I have in my office - NOW - a framed postcard that you & Exene, D.J. & Billy all signed & wrote notes on & sent to me in Idaho, twenty-six years ago! I really appreciated that gesture, and still do.
Thank you for being real, and for inspiring me during my youth and today!
Thanks for the add, John--hope if you're up it's doing something fun. I used to play your Meet John Doe album for hours while I was home with the kids when they were little--knew all the words, thanks for that, too. Hugs, Kathy
you are the most beautiful man ever! i would SO marry you in a second,..that is if you were not married already and i was not gay. thank you for helping create the soundtrack for my life ;)
Among all men on the earth bards have a share of honor and reverence, because the muse has taught them songs and loves the race of bards. -Homer (800 BC - 700 BC)
