A retro power pop band from Argentina influenced by The Beatles, Badfinger and Raspberries with Alejandro Pin (vocals and guitars), Tiago Galíndez (vocals, bass, piano, music) Diego Vázquez (Guitars and backing vocals) and Sebastian Cairo (Drums, percusion and backing vocals)
The Kavanaghs first album is full of retro power pop songs influenced by classic bands like The Beatles, Badfinger and Raspberries, The Beach Boys, The Zombies and The Kinks among other great bands from the sixties to nowdays like Fountains of Wayne, Keane and Starsailor.
If you're into power pop, psych pop, beatlesque songs you will sure enjoy The Kavanaghs music!!
Eric Carmen and Jim Bonfanti from the Raspberries -who wrote the liner notes for the upcoming album- said about the Kavanaghs: "The Beatles, Badfinger and Raspberries fans will love this band!! This guys really wear their influences well. Catchy melodies and great harmonies are still alive. It's a pleasure to hear their songs!!"
The Kavanaghs was formed in 2006 in Rosario, Argentina. The song "All the time", was released in 2007 by Matchbox Recordings UK as part of the Big Indie Comeback vol.2 compilation album. (available at CD Baby and digitally).
In mid 2008, the band signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing/ Eternal Sunday.
Later, in July 2009, the band..s debut album was released in worldwide in both cd and digital. Important powerpop stores from the United States like Kool Kat Musik, Not Lame and Dreamscape and Power Pop Acaddemy in Japan are selling the album.
A couple of months later, The Kavanaghs flew to London to start therir first UK Tour that took them to important venues like Liverpool..s Cavern Club and London..s benefit festival "A perfect day" from whom the Kavanaghs wrote the main theme song named "Let love go all the way".
Once back in Argentina, the group started working on their upcoming album and a couple of singles planned to be released in early 2010.

Es un orgullo para nosotros decirles que si bien nos está llevando mucho trabajo, estamos muy contentos con los resultados obtenidos hasta el momento y que seguramente mejorarán mucho más ya que por ahora no hay ningún tipo de masterización e incluso hay que hacer retoques en la mezcla. Nuestro disco contará con 10 tracks muuuy poderosos, funkies y grooveros! Las grabaciones se han llevado a cabo en el estudio "EL DORADO". Este track que les presentamos se titula "MAMBO".
