The beginnings of the so called "metal" act The Knife Trade began in early 2003. Shorty after, the band recorded a demo and began playing shows rigourously throughout the east coast. Sharing the stage with the likes of Mastodon, Arsis, Psyopus, Invocation of Nehek, Reflux, The Red Death, Through the Eyes of the Dead, Glass Casket, Ed Gein, Bloodjinn, The Classic Struggle ,Neuraxis, Bury Your Dead, Michael Graves, The Red Chord, The Acacia Strain, and many more. The band gained notoriety and contributed to a split cd with Through the Eyes of the Dead released on Lovelost Records. Right now plans for a fullength cd and more touring are in the works.
