The Summoned is amazing listen to them or you will be killed by an "accidental" blow to the head with a 2x4. The new demo is a very different response to Harvest. The three song demo doesn't let up, even the soft mellow song is heavy as fuck. Jake and Shaun work perfectly together as a mean guitar duo with Shaun shredding the fuck out of solos and Jake keeping a lock down on the Rhythm, Even though there is no bassist Shaun did a great job at laying down all the bass tracks as well. Then there is Sam his drums on this Demo are the same as always, Crushingly awesome full of blast beats, Cymbal fills, and even his breakdown beats (which are sparingly used) are more advanced then most of the bands out on the market these days. Last but not least there is Steve, His vocals on this Demo have improved 10000000000 Fold they just sound more worked on AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO BREEING THANK THE LORD!!! To Conclude The Summoned are always growing whether it be as a live band or in the studio they always have something new to bring to the table, and this Demo proves they are like none of the bands around. - Phelan Ritchie

For a band that doesn't really need to prove themselves in the New England metal scene, The Summoned by far, has. The new demo is some of the most intense music this band has ever written. With the addition of Jake "Linda" Kelleher on guitar for these recordings, you can totally tell this band has become insanely tight. Steve Thompson's vocals have grown to a thunderous roar and an ear piercing shriek. With Greg "Man" Mann back on the bass, this bands live show is an intense and very involved experience. Sam Hang is just a monster on the kit. Shaun Murphy is a true showman on stage. This band recreates their CD live and do an amazing job.
