The Tell Tale Heartbreakers emerged from the Bay Area’s underground music scene in late 2004. Since then, they sculpted their own sound, tearing through the post-punk music scene with tense, guitar and bass-driven songs that reflect the darker side of rock and roll. Their influences run deep, encompassing everything from Gothic Rock, New Wave, Post Punk to Psychobilly.
Fronting the Heartbreakers is Traci. Already an accomplished Gothic/Indie DJ, Traci formerly fronted the emencly popular, all girl Psychobilly band: The Deadutantes.
Guitarist Ryan Rosprim is no stranger to popular bands. Playing for the one of the Bay Area’s foremost gothic rock bands Kill Sister Kill and Gang of Grim.
Bassist Matt Eskew thumped along with the punk-a-billy band The BLANKS before moving on to form The Defiant Ones with members of Hayride to Hell and The Nite-Crawlers.
Last but not least, a recent addition to the Heartbreakers is drummer Michael Smartt.
The Tell-Tale Heartbreakers are working hard to record their second album, due out in 2010.
I was there last night, and I agree with Stevyn, it was awesome!!!!! You guys are very intense live!!!! I actually wanted to do my pole dance which is similar to what that one girl was doing, but since it was only going to be two of us I felt shy...lol I have to go watch you again sometime, but it usually doesn't work with my schedule at my loser job... But keep it up, that was an incredible experience! :)
As always, Lady & Gentlemen, it was a great pleasure to share the stage with you.
And, of course, you ROCKED!
The Tell-Tale Heartbreakers are the only band I can think of, off the top of my head, that are INCREDIBLY solid yet not afraid to push waaaaay outside that envelope. A great rock and roll band that's not afraid to take a risk & make their own mark. If only there were more like you - the music scene would be so much better off.
I'm always grateful for your friendship & to share a stage with you.
Note to Matt: You rocked! You solid-ass mofo! Your rumble makes me tumble. Note to Ry: You rocked! Your guitar sound is AWESOME! I saw those magic fingers! Note to Mike: You rocked! And I don't believe a word you said. You played Madison Square Garden last night. I know it. Note to Tracy: You rocked! You, more than anyone, are one of the greatest front-persons I've ever known. I'm serious. You COMMAND the audience's attention. also- "bye.... bye.... Mein liebe Herr, bye bye Mein liebe Herr it was a fine affair but now it's over.............................
Yeah, it was a great show....with a venue this well known you would expect the staff to treat you like a nobody because they deal with rock stars all the time, but the opposite was true...The people at the Viper Room were the BEST to work with, every one of them...We got a real soundcheck and the mix was great...I highly recommend playing this venue! Cheers, Coffin
You’ve got a good sound with the music you put out. I like it. If you ever need art for an album cover or shirt design or anything else just let me know. We’ll work something out.
