_We are a 3 piece band from Birmingham.
_We are three long term friends playing music we love.
SHAPES has been going since January 08. We released our debut EP in May 08 through Godmonkey Recordings, and have continued gigging as much as we can across the country since, including tours with Blakfish, Youves, Mimas, Te (Japan), Scraps of Tape (Sweden), Munroe Effect and more.
We released our second record 'The Pasture, The Oil' through Big Scary Monsters in May 09 and are now taking some time off from touring so we can write our first album.
We have had the pleasure of sharing stages with Blakfish (BSM), Tubelord (BSM), Zack Hill (Hella) This Town Needs Guns (BSM), Youves (Holy Roar), Danananaykroyd (Best Before), Te (Zankyo Records), OK Pilot (Freakscene), Tellison (Gravity Dip), Mimas (BSM), 9mm Parabellum Bullet (Sony EMI), The Flatliners (Fat Wreck), Burn Down Rome (Visible Noise), Resonate (Lockjaw), The Computers (Fierce Panda), Colour (BSM) and many more fabulous bands.
