"Attitudinal but focussed, an epically proportioned mind-fuck of rock acidity that says bollocks to musical conformity and sets new standards for musical diversity."
"Shapes are different, Shapes are challenging, Shapes are bloody good!!"
'Get Your Learn On' is six tracks of blatant musical exceptionalism"
toxicpete.co.uk
"it is Shapes' ability to confuse, while sheering songs together with slices of well crafted, almost simple musical ideals, that really sets this record apart"
"Shapes are still a relatively new band....you wonder where their hard work, love and conviction will lead them in the future" ondryland
"Shapes reveal themselves as the ultimate human figure, fishing stark and surprising beauty out of the fissures of imperfection"
"Overall, Get Your Learn On is a very impressive album....a must hear" Wildy's World
"a fusion of math-rock and progressive metal in here, with room for loud shouty choruses"
"extremely intriquete and, I imagine, very difficult to play"
"crisp beats, needly guitar parts and clipped, funky basslines"
"warped carnival beats to a MMISL-esque rocker "
"Shapes can really bust out of the math rock template when they want to." Die Shellsuit Die
"there are plenty of good ideas here and there are elements of songs which are fucking brilliant"
"Shapes are a very talented unit, of that there is no doubt at all......when they do peak, boy are we in for a treat." Punktastic
"fidgety bass, off-kilter screams and quite literally tearing the roof off the place to get their point across. Well, quite literally, almost." New Noise Live Review
