Our bones form a firm system, as they are connected by joints. These joints may be fibrous, cartilaginous or synovial.
There is no appreciable movement at fibrous joints. They include sutures (e.g. between bones of the familial variety- a. poole, c. poole, and n. poole) and syndesmoses (e.g. the historic and enduring social relationship as seen between c. poole and c. potter)
There is limited movement at cartilaginous joints or synchondroses (e.g. the symphysis connection between a. enyart and n. poole).
The bones are not fixed at synovial joints (i.e., not ankylosed or the relationship between l. petersen and ob.).
The forms of the articulating surfaces determine the function. The joint may be flat, spherical, cylindrical, conical, saddle- or screwlike. The modes of articulation may be represented by geometrical diagrams, as seen here
In movable joints the bones move around an imaginary axis. When the muscles moving a given joint are in the state of minimal possible contraction, the position of the joint is one between the extremes of flexion, extension, adduction, and abduction.
This position is called state of rest. It is a starting point to every analysis of the movements.
Here are the main forms of joints:
WAX MUSEUM PANDEMONIUM (SOUTH)
n. poole - femur, a. poole - scapula, a. enyart - fibula,
l. peterson - mandible,
Billy - manubrium sterni
+ a rib or two and the dust of a poorly attended cremation across the ocean.
The chief movements at joints are flexion (bending to more acute angle); extension (straightening); abduction (moving away from the midline); adduction (moving towards the midline); and medial and lateral rotation. If the arm is held horizontally, and the hand is turned palm upwards, the movement is called supination; if it is turned palm downwards, the movement is termed pronation.
For these reasons (i.e. the complex composition of the WAX MUSEUM PANDEMONIUM entity) live presentation is one of the more effective methods of detailed analysis. Recorded representational methods are also enjoyable and available, but are likely to contain even more variables and additions to the working components, and thus require prolongated study (e.g. listening pleasure).

Wax Museum Pandemonium is the creative work of the BROTHERS POOLE and their various associates. The two have performed, recorded and otherwise collaborated together and separately. To their credit they have several self published albums of music and art including:
In addition there are several collections of both music and illustrations awaiting release. In 2009 Wax Museum Pandemonium will continue to be written in two different scripts, although bleeding will no doubt occur.
