Sounds Like
the diary of a mad poet who has read too many books, and doesn't think three chords is ever enough. ..
hence this live bootleg of a song written for the film "la belle et la bete"
This is the sound created by traveling through many worlds to arrive here and now with the tunes of this Time. What you will hear are real life adventures sifted through the mask of mythos. Dana has worn many faces on stages throughout her career, most notably as quitarist and singer for the well-respected progressive rock band, Velvet Hammer(with Ginger Doss and Lynda Millard of the wonderous Dreamtrybe, the amazing Katrina Lassberg, and the incomparable Robin Beacham of Cheap Chick)Velvet Hammer's herstory included a development/publishing deal with Island/Polygram, two records, and extensive touring amoung the east coast and central states, creating a substantial and devoted fanbase, especially in Texas. Some of the other reflections of Dana's career as a performer span from house singer at the world famous Gilley's nightclub, heavy metal front singer for the band Blacksheep (which started the careers of guitarist Marzi and drummer Blas Elias of Slaughter),Big Band chantuese, show band vocalist in Atlantic City and New York, touring psycho-delic folk goddess to Green Crown, front chick of a myriad of cover bands, torch singer at grand hotels in the piano bar,to the voice of Butterfly Tree (a symphonic pop duo with Rick Del Castillo of tejano rock's rising star Del Castillo).
