The new breed of OSLO hardcore punk is here, and HEVN is defianitly a band to
watch out for. Together with bands like Summon The Crows, 2.20, Going
Under and others they*re carrying the torch to light up the
darkness in the OSLO underground.
HEVN has of ex- members of KORT PROSESS, Jin..rik..sha AMOK etc. Their singer moved over the Atlantic from
Seattle to Oslo after having enough of the USA.
Hevn play heavy mid-paced anarchopunk-fueled hardcore, with incredibly
strong and brutal female vocals. Clearly influenced by great bands such as
Rudimentary Peni, Anti-Schism, Kort Prosess, yet they still manage to do
it their own way with plenty of power,
attitude and anger.
Their amazing 12 track demo, which was recorded in fall 2005, blew all
listeners away. The demo lead to the recording of the 3 song 7" released by
Sjakk Matt Plater for their European tour spring 2006.

Thier first guitarist Kjetil is no longer in Hevn so that he can focus more
on Summon the Crows another great Norwegian band to hear and see.

Hevn started up in a dark brown smoke filled pub called Evergreen late fall almost winter 2004. They spent some time in the rehearsal room before they started to play live. After some years with good fun. They decided to do other things than try to kill each other and things norwegian band do when they get upset. So after lack of inspiration and less progression they pulled the plug to the band and continued to be friends, and they still meet at the pub for geting wasted and talk bullshit.
