Zanthii Blue is Adelaide Soccio (vocals) and Rick Alexander (guitar and vocals). We've been performing together since 2004 and we released our first CD, These Places, in December 2006.
We were finalists in the 2006 and 2007 The Basin Music Festival songwriting competitions with our songs, "These Places" and "Secrets".
Through 2007-2008 we've been playing around Melbourne. Locations have been as varied as the Manna Gum Gallery in Dromana and the Ranges Folk Club at the Burrinja cafe in Upwey. Our most recent gig was at The Basin Music Festival. We both get a real kick from performing our songs.
Featured Players:
Our friends have added great parts to these songs. Jarek Czechowicz plays the solo on "You and Me" and Mary Knights-Rutten plays cello on "No One Has Seen Her". "You and Me" was co-written with Jarek.

We've made more of these tracks available for download (128kbps mp3s) on our soundclick.com site

Hi Rick, the Ruby's gig went well, there were about 150 people there which was fun. We've just finished an album and are working on the artwork at the moment. Have you been playing much lately? Jed.
Hi Rick, how have you been? How's the music coming along?
We've just finished mixing an album which has been a long process (over a year to do all the tracking) so it's good to see it coming to fruition.
If you're free in a couple of weeks...
The Jed Rowe Band has a big double headline gig at Ruby's Lounge coming up on Sat Sept 6th with Chris Cavill & The Long Weekend plus support from Charles Baby. It'll be a great night of rootsy Melbourne bands, be great to see you there if you can make it. Doors 8:30pm, we're on at 10pm. $10 on the door. Catch you soon, Jed.
Hey Zanthii Blue thanks for stopping by and supporting my music page! hope you enjoy my songs! any feedback is greatly appreciated ;-) have an awesome day! positive vibes Sarah x
oooh...i just popped in and got a good earful of "No One Has Seen Her". Doesn't that cello work sooo well with guitar appegios?? And Adelaide's voice sailing gentley over it all. My wee producer brain can also hear what it would be like if we could all afford to get the rest of the orchestra in...man, that'd be HUGE. Ha! (But with bass n' drums a la early kate bush...but that's just me!)
Thanks for the feedback...'day so still' has had some good reviews...to my surprise. Bit of a multi-tracking extravaganza in that 2nd half, but gee i had fun :)
Hi! I love getting friend requests from Melbourne musos, as that means we've got a chance of meeting up and visiting each others' gigs! Be in touch soon! Susan
