In 1966 I saw Son House on public television and was so amazed by what he saw that I immediately broke a wine bottle and tried to make my own bottleneck. i have been hooked on the blues and Son House ever since. Other older musicians that have molded my view of the blues are Sam Chatmon, Bo Carter, Yank Rachell, Sleepy John Estes, Carl Martin, Johnny Young, Mance Lipscomb, Johnny Shines, Robert Johnson, and Tampa Red.

Sounds like me, but greatly influenced by Son House, Sam Chatmon, Yank Rachell, and Bo Carter.
I lived in a lot of places over the years but from age 13 grew up in Derry, New Hampshire on the east coast of the United States. While supporting myself as a musician playing solo on the streets of San Francisco and with other street friends, I learned to play for an audience. I moved to Sweden in 1974 where I have worked ever since as a singer/songwriter, composer and musician. Made a number of LPs and CDs. I have played together with a lot of different musicians over the years --- singer/songwriter Peter Case, blues artist Eric Bibb, rockabilly queen Wanda Jackson, old timey rambler Tom Paley, Mississippi bluesmen Bill Abel and Cadillac John Nolden, and play regularly with Irish piper and singer Christy O'Leary (http:www.deivert.com/oleary.html).
But for the blues, there are some great folks living in Sweden who are friends and a community.

It's an octave mandolin; William Petersen is the luthier. He also built the citterns and the mandola in this photo. We love his work, as you can tell... Scott
Thanks Bert, I'm glad you like that song especially, it's your amazing Gibson mando that keeps the song going. The differnt harmonies in the tune comes from making the song on my Viola da terra. The 5 cources on it and strange tuning makes one do unexpected things!
Hi Bert! We've been into studio this week end for my (our) first release of Hawaiian music! It's done 10 tracks in 2 days...Wov. 5 musicians. Mix gonna be in October...
