About me: Medlo is a functioning film production company and audio/visual collective operating out of both Sheffield and London.
VHS is our king. We worship every glitch, hiccup and burst of static that that inconsistant format brought us. We love the movies that defined the VHS era, and we bow before the gods of the direct-to-video offerings that helped form our childhoods.
As a company we have produced music videos, short films, TV segments, retail DVDs, corporate promos and a wealth of EPK material.
We have performed as AV collective 'The Media Lounge' at venues and festivals across the country, as well as curating our own regular events in both hometowns. In 2006 we joined 65daysofstatic on a headline UK tour as full visual support.
Our website is www.medlo.net and we strongly encourage you to head over there to sample the various delights on offer, as well as forthcoming dates and much more information.
You might have seen some our promo work with 65daysofstatic.
The video for their new single 'Don't Go Down to Sorrow is viewable here;
...and the previous video 'Drove Through Ghosts to Get Here' is downloadable by clicking on the funny robot face. It was collaboration between Medlo and artist Lord Bunn.
You can also download our recent video remix of Death From Above's 'Black History Month':
Here is our recent projects - 'Dear Flies Love Spider' by the Low Lows. Taken from the album Fire on the Bright Sky, available on Monotreme Records.
Its the Bank Holiday weekend (hurrah), unlike many a normal sucky sunday.
Atomic Garden (from Clemand Ferrand en la France) are wicked and they're on tour promoting their album 'Little Stories About Potential Events'. Its produced by Chris Sheldon and Alan Douches (who've done Alkaline Trio, Therapy, Converge, Biffy Clyro and Foo Fighters among others...) and they're certainly worthy of seeing in a nice little place in Sheffield. You can check some stuff out at:

Kimmy Yeah (75% of actionier playing 0% of actionier songs - all new weird stuff). Songs by em at:

A Bear are a marvellous p-h/c band from Manchester. They're just releasing an EP called 'Some Of Our Friends are Animals'. Their jib is pleasingly cutting, and you can read stuff by em from their brilliantly non-myspace page at:
http://thisisabear.blogspot.com/
Or hear them at this thing:

We don't like charging the earth, so it'll be 3 quid and its strictly a non-profit event.
We would welcome your attendance - many thanks for reading!
