NEW FULL LENGTH ALBUM COMING SPRING OF 2011! .. Band INFO@EMPTYSPACEORCHESTRA.COM .. Booking Gabe@InThePocketArtists.com <br> WE RARELY CHECK THIS MYSPACE. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Empty Space Orchestra Live at Les Schwab Amphitheater June 27th, 2010. A film by Chris Kas. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Live at Mississippi Studios in Portland, Oregon. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Live at The Tower Theater in Bend, Oregon opening for the Helio Sequence. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... During September of 2010 Empty Space Orchestra traveled to Sacramento, California to spend four days recording their debut full length album at The Hangar Studios with recording engineer Robert Cheek (RX Bandits, Terra Melos). After two months of listening to rough mixes and recording minimal overdubs, the band brought the album to producer Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Pearl Jam, ISIS) for mixing at Red Room Studios in Seattle, WA. The end result is a full length album consisting of nine tracks, spanning 50 minutes, which displays some of the band's most agressive and heavy hitting material to date. While the album is yet to be named and without out a label, expect an independent release set for spring 2011. Empty Space Orchestra is quite possibly the loudest band you will ever see with a Saxophone on stage. Since the band's initial inception in late 2007, ESO has built a devoted and rapidly growing fan base in the Northwest exclusively on the weight of their highly memorable live performances. While employing a 100% collaborative writing process, the band successfully incorporates post-rock, afro-beat, soul, dub, ambient, and lo-fi in to a predominately rock package. The end result sounds like Battles covering Jaga Jazzist. .... "Holy smokes! Gliding through an often jazz-based landscape that is filled with valleys and peaks of prog-rock and near-thrashing metal, ESO is a powerhouse live experience bordering on full-blown spectacle." - Jodi Kaufer - Seattle Show Gal .... "...they’re really, really, really good at what they do, which is build epic, bruising rock jams that sound like they were shipped overnight from Jupiter." .... "Together, they’re a living, breathing beast of a band that seems like it’s on the verge of something great." .. Ben Salmon - Frequency Blog/GO! Magazine .... "This is the sound track space scope narrative that fits at least one of your memorable REM stints in wonderland" .. Jason Graham a.k.a. Mosley Wotta .... "ESO hangs its hat on spandex-tight numbers that are remarkably scripted with each change meticulously crafted and locked into the band’s collective memory." .. Mike Bookey - The Source Weekly .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .... .. .. .. .. .. .................... -
