GOOD FOR NOTHING?
is a non-profit gig promotion outfit, record label, zine and distro run by Kirk (Escape to Victory), Dave, Steve & Maltman (the Hijacks) and Aron.
We work mainly with punk bands in their various forms and are one of the only DIY punk promoters in Aberdeen, Scotland. We've been doing this since 2003 and put on a heap of awesome nights with bands such as Sonic Boom Six, Rentokill, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mike Park, Classics of Love, Adequate 7, Bomb The Music Industry, Chris Murray, The Mad Conductor amongst others.
FAO Bands: We can make reasonable money guarantees usually, we'll provide food if you're on tour and try and help with somewhere to crash but can't always guarantee it. We don't have time to reply to every message and chances are we won't be able to put your band on if your on tour but if you want to send us a message please put some effort in - tell us who you sound like, who you've played with, any reviews etc that will make you stand out.
Remember, this is a PUNK ROCK record label, we only accept band/label friend requests for bands that fit into the loose category of punk (or have a real DIY spirit). If you sound like Keane please don't waste your time and ours.
We've released one compilation CD-R and three 7"s so we don't release much and if we are going to release something, we'll get in touch with you (unless you are Bad Relgion or someone awesome that wants to do a split). Despite this little rant, we really are nice people, we just don't want you to waste your time as we are all very busy!
