DJ/Producer, radio personality and label owner dedicated to bringing electronic music to audiences worldwide, JD Turbine defiantly stomps the line between tech, electro, prog house, breaks and minimal techno with his genre-breaking style dubbed Digiprana Sounds.
The sound of Digiprana can be heard weekly on 90.3FM in New York, where the Digiprana Sounds radio program has expanded from its urban roots to earn an international audience through its iTunes podcast and on-demand stream linked at digiprana.com. JD Turbine has also been featured on danceradio.gr, protonradio.com, friskyradio.com, ibreaks.co.uk and Sirius Satellite radio, where JD spun a 3-hour mix broadcast every third Saturday of the month for the duration of 2007.
Building on the success of the radio broadcasts (which launched in May of 2005) JD kicked off his record label in September of 2007 with digital distribution by INgrooves.
The DIGIPRANA records catalog features a diverse selection of styles including tech house, techno, minimal, electro & progressive, with artists from the US, England, India, Puerto Rico and Italy to name a few.
In between heading the label, crafting beats and spinning on the radio with top-notch international DJs, Turbine has been on and off the road for the past two years delivering dynamic live performances in Miami (Ultra, Gryphon), Dallas (Eden, Afterlife, Lizard Lounge), Charlotte (Tutto Mondo, KISS), Baltimore (Mosaic, Rev, Shorty's), England (Riffraff), Canada (WEMF), Puerto Rico (Showtime, Pink Skirt, Costa Bar) and at home in New York City (Bar 13, Porch, Sunburnt Cow, LeSouk, Moomia, Alibi & more).
