1st September, officially Autumn in my book! And so is time to gear up for the busy Christmas period.
My newest project is with Acoustic Folk/Country artist Elliott Frisby. During the summer, Elliott, Scott, Georgie & I have been busy filming the Elliott Frisby Singer/Songwriter show for Sky TV. The pilots broadcast with great success in July and the full series is likely to be aired later on in the Autumn. The Elliott tour machine will be swinging into action later this year with gigs at Tony Moore's Bedford & Regal Rooms, Carling Academy and the Gibson Rooms no less. More details later.
Heavy Rock/Metal artists Illusion have been touring with me this summer and we're currently writing a new song actually written by me which will likely get it's first performance in our October London gig. It's called [working title]::Tolling Of The Bell and it brings together my influences with Jim Steinman, Bruce Dickinson, Richie Sambora and Savatage! Once we have a demo i'll put it up here for you to listen to.
In the meanwhile, balance comes from my work with Rhythm Junkies. I do love covers...so much fun. Soundasylum has been quiet lately but has a busy schedule coming up later in the year around the Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire area.
Lastly but not leastly, had my fill of Sound Engineering for this summer's major festivals. Last job was for Rebellion'08, the Punk Festival specialists. Up in Blackpool at the Winter Gardens complex. Fantastic fun. 45 great bands went across my soundstage in the Pavillion. The most notible ones are shown within my top friends and I really recommend you check them out -Fire Exit, Grown at Home, UFX, The Machines and lastly but not leastly, still to be added, Irish Band -Neck. If you get a chance to see them gig, go to it. You won't be disappointed.
Background - About Me:
I'm a classically trained Pianist and Musician. By the time I was 15 I was orchestrating 40s Swing for Big Band Sound. I spun sideways and studied as a Church Organist for 3 years playing in such places as Brecon Cathedral. I also studied the Clarinet, Sax and Bassoon of all things. In short, most instruments I picked up I could play with relative ease and enjoyed learning to play! But my heart and passion is for Keyboards.
