My names Aron, I am a Drum and Bass MC. When I was younger I always fancied myself as a bit of a lyricist. I knew I had the potential to perform but had no platform to aim for. It was only when I got my first taste of drum and bass at a night called Pangea and seen MCs like Troubla and BZ, that I realised I had to focus on becoming a DnB MC.
I've been working hard emceeing for two years now and have been affiliated with many of the top institutions of Scottish Drum and Bass. After developing my style, I started emceeing for my crew Dilate [Stirling]. Along with Gorbo and my main man DJ Laconic (Pangea DJ comp champ) Dilate ran successfully for two years over which we were invited to play on BBC Radio One, which was an honor. It was also through my performances at Dilate that I started to get bookings at nights like Split, Pangea, Red Alert and Concrete Streets.
Soon after Pangea Nation recruited me to MC for their new venture in Glasgow. Pangea is one of the top names in Scottish Drum and Bass and the campaign is booming, totally dominating the Glasgow DnB scene (Glasgow School of Art, first friday of every month).
Unlike MCs before me, I continuously keep my lyrics fresh and complete mixes with a wide range of DJs. This was picked up by one Yellowbenzene who installed me to MC on his radio show 'Armed Response Drum and Bass'(www.subcity.org 8-10pm). Our work on radio is sharp and, through a twenty minute of Benzene and I, we won the Silver Award at the Student Radio Awards (no other show in Scotland was even nominated). I also play out on other radio shows such as Red Alert 'Zuni Sessions' and 'Perfect Pitch Radio' and Subcity's Custom Dub
More recently, I have been emceeing with DJ Aesthetics at long running night Split (Tues, Cab Vol, Edin). My performances did not go unnoticed as promoter, DJ Atomic, made me part- time Resident at the legendary night. As well as that, like minded Jump up heads: J.Bostron, Dark D, Laconic, NoFace, Erskone, MC Sian and I have formed 'One foot Skankin' a crew dedicated to sick beats and big vibes.
Right now I'm doing well with a show pretty much every week. In my time I've been booked to emcee for some big names like, Propaganda, Simon Bassline Smith, The Brookes Brothers and DJ Hazard. Music isn't the only thing I like but it's safe to say it is usually the MAIN thing on my mind. I'm always looking forward to emceeing, meeting and working with cool people. peACe.
Also for the fun of it, i'm entering the valve competition even if i'm not the greatest.... So if u like the set, u can leave me a comment on my video at http://valve.breakbeat.co.uk/ from the first to the 14 august....

With a reputation for heavy beats, dubwise basslines and echoing effects that take you to the milky way and back, Morphy delivers his debut EP for Nerve Recordings in the shape of "The Dubtopia EP".
As usual, quality is delivered without compromise - from the hard-edged dancefloor cut "Hermies" to the more dubwise selections "Version" and "Samfie Man" to the straight up roots rocker "Warren Dub" - this EP will keeping you skanking in dubbed out delight!
Available as high quality digital download (320kbps MP3/WAV and FLAC) at the following digital stores:
Won't be in Edinburgh I'm afraid. Aye upstairs was pretty busy but it was too dark and the sound was terrible, all you could hear was Sub. Folk should have been downstairs!
He, there is a new jump up, wobble mix on my page, check it.....
