Nowadays Michael splits his time between Chicago and San Francisco where he performs his off-kilter stand-up at venues like Zanies, The Lakeshore Theater, The Edge Comedy Club and The Lincoln Lodge.
He is a co-founder of the groundbreaking Comedians You Should Know Show and, in addition to writing and directing a number of award-winning comedic shorts, is currently in post-producton on his first feature film The Return of Great Guy.

I did a show in Morris,IL Sat. and Dave Odd asked if I wanted to listen to Michael Sanchez. I thought, "Hmm?" And then he played your album in the car, which was not comedy- it was sweet, sweet music. And I LOVED it. I would like to purchase it, please.
When one's mentors makes things like this... is it any wonder how we turn out? Somewhere between Pee Wee's playhouse and Lassie re-runs was shat the child Sara. On the day that my kindergarten teacher asked us what we wanted to be... I said "I WANNA BE AN OLD MAN!" I think that was on a post-it in the music cage.
michael will attempt to hurt you while making a film. reading your description under your networking section reminded me of the scene in stories of thieves and gamblers where you, as the creepy middle aged man, and vinnie were tussling on the lawn and you, for reasons still unknown, instructed him to, "put your head down in your..." that, and the emotional scars inflicted upon me when i saw you open your front door with a comb-over and a pillow in your shirt.
