Anybody who has ever played in orchestra cube is considered a member, as they have helped shape the orchestra into what it is today.
Sounds Like
Improvised music. It can sound like a film soundtrack, post-rock, free jazz, world fusion, improv noise, loungecore, ambient polka, big band, a little bit of each or like nothing on Earth. Often dissonant and experimental, but equally often soothing and harmonious.
We are the in-house improvising orchestra for the Cube Cinema, in Bristol, England. The Cube is an independent, volunteer-run microplex which shows interesting films, live music and various other audiovisual treats.
We don't check this space very often, so forgive us if we don't reply very quickly.

A Future Without presents: Throwing Snow, Footnotes Part 1 EP
5 tracks of organic sounding, broken beat driven electronic bliss.
Throwing Snow has been compared to the likes of Bonobo, DJ Shadow, Four tet, Xploding Plastix and Quantic.
Jon Kennedy (Tru Thoughts/Grand Central) - 'SUPERB TUNES'
DJ m.path.iq (D:Bug Mag) - 'What I can say is that I don't get unique music like that every day. Throwing Snow has got my full support. Love Listless, Glitter Clatter and the musicality in each digital detail. Ambient vs. Breakbeat vs. World Music vs. Folk vs. Simply Good Taste.'

Orchestra Cube rule! Last week's "light fantastic" gig was both fantastic and (occasionally) light. Amazing to see a big crowd of people improvising and yet sounding 'together': orchestral, even. It's a great thing about Bristol that anarchic art events like this happen. Thanks for the add.
