| Pandemonaeon: General Info
|
| Member Since | 2/25/2006 | | Band Website | TranceJamRecords.com | | Band Members | Sharon Knight and her longtime collaborator Winter make up the core of Pandemonaeon. They are most frequently joined by Tina "Bean" Blaine (Haunted by Waters, D'Cuckoo) on percussion, Gari Hegedus (Stellamara) on oud, violin, and mandocello, and most recently, Tim Rayborn (Solace, Ya Elah!) on oud, drums, saz, vocals, and percussion. | | Influences | World music of all kinds, particularly Middle - Eastern, Scandinavian, Celtic, Spanish, and Eastern European. Early and Renaissance music. Inspired guitar heroes of all ilks. Thelemic and Feri magick. Chaos magick. Witchcraft. Buddhism. Tribal belly dancers. Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung. Any music that taps a deep archetypal place in the human soul - Dead can Dance, Massive Attack, Natasha Atlas, Azam Ali, Cocteau Twins, Loreena McKennitt, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Hedningarne, Interpol, NIN, ...too numerous to mention. We love music, and if it evokes magick, we'd probably be inspired by it. | | Sounds Like | | SHARON KNIGHT AND PANDEMONAEON: Temple of Dreams Live

| About Pandemonaeon |
Pandemonaeon performed frequently in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early part of this century. They quickly gained a following among Gothic Pagans, and were well known for their lavish live shows. Like mini-circuses, each show featured several acts that supported that evening's storyline - themes such as "the Court of the Winter King" and "Temple of Dreams" featured some of the Bay Areas most original talent. Leather clad fetish vixens strutted alongside exotic tribal bellydancers, fire spinners set the stage for eccentric performance artists, vaudevillian musical acts led into kissing contests, and raving Pagans filled the room as Pandemonaeon fueled the night with their raw tribal music. Pandemonaeon's vision was always to feature the myriad talented artists that make up our vibrant Bay Area community. After a long hiatus, Sharon and Winter have begun to feel the kindling of Pandemonaeon music again. They are currently writing songs for both Pandemonaeon and Sharon Knight, and have decided to create a Myspace presence for Pandemonaeon. Be welcome here, and if you like what you hear, check back periodically, for newer material will appear here as it develops. Please also visit www.myspace.com/SharonKnight
