   About the D’Archetypes
D'Archetypes are Shane Solanki and Nikesh Shukla. We mix comedy and political narrative into farcical cabaret. Lots of lovely people and excellent musicians have contributed to the project. We have toured India with the British Council, and done gigs at places like the Tate Modern.

Like my primary school animal biology lecturer used to say. Some species are inherently romantic. I guess I just chose wisely early on.
This Polarbear sends bear love to you and yours for the new year with a post-it note attached reading,
'I reckon 2008 might be alright, still'

APPLES XMAS CABARET
Thursday 6 December @ 7pm
Whitechapel Gallery, 80-82 Whitechapel High Street, London E1 7QX
FREE
www.applesandsnakes.org or www.myspace.com/applesandsnakespoetry
---

A freewheeling night of comedic wordplay from Apples & Snakes. Featuring: multimedia weirdness from Stacy Makishi; shady character-monologues from Bob Boyton; Yam Boy, exploring the status of the British Asian in his inimitable style; and a set of knowing poems from Vanessa Walters, Kensington & Chelsea’s artist-in-residence. Compered by critically acclaimed funnywoman and would-be swingball champion Rosie Wilby

This is the second year we will be running the Christmas Cabaret after a sell-out show at BAC last year. It is bound to be a relaxed and informal affair and, what’s more, it’s free! Audience members are advised to get there early as Whitechapel Gallery bar is rather short on chairs.
