About me:
THE SIDESHOW III
An event of grand proportions to connect the local art community AND Downtown Dayton.
Friday May 16th and Saturday May 17th
6PM-1AM
The Sideshow is an annual event in cooperation with The Dayton Circus Creative Collective. For two nights, The Sideshow will connect many genres of art, from music and food to installation and performance, showcasing many artists both new and established, from many diverse backgrounds.
The Dayton Circus Creative Collective, The Circus for short, was inspired by the energy and character of the first Sideshow. The undertakings of this underground art show were able to show an intense desire for connection, diversity and alternative stimuli within our city. Two years later, The Circus is helping to provide a nourishing environment that will encourage community interaction, artistic collaboration, and the empowerment of the individual. It is The Circus’s goal to provide opportunities to create, perform, and share freely in the experience of living. The Sideshow is a celebration of these endeavors.
This is a community event put together by participating artists as well as the public. In effort to connect with an already varied art scene, The Sideshow will start in conjunction with Urban Nights and continue the following night with new performances and more to celebrate.
The Sideshow is free and open to the public.
