There are ghosts around here, a 4-track EP released mid 2009, featuring Hot Water Hills, Love Princess, Katsudon and Ikebana with Kana. Self-recorded, and once again designed by our favorite Tokyo artist, Hitomi Tsuchiya it..s currently available at live shows or by request. Hot Water Hills is also up on I-Tunes.
Our debut album, Independent Social Power, recorded at KRH Studio in Tokyo and self-released at the end of 2008. Ten tunes, some pretty pictures and no nudity. You can pick up a copy from these great websites and recordshops.

The Watanabes are a Japan based indie rock band. Like mayonnaise, baseball and miniskirts, our members are not originally from Japan (Walsh brothers - England, Stefan -Sweden, Ash - NZ), but we have come to feel at home here. Kind of.
The band started off quietly in 2005 in the orange-laden prefecture of Ehime. Two years later we relocated to Tokyo, where we have been doing our best to keep up with the capitals famous hyperactive restlessness. We have released two albums, posed for countless cameras and played a bunch of shows, including a Favorite Tree Records showcase event in the UK. We have got plenty more plans on the horizon, so keep in touch.
Criticism, compliments and queries to thewatanabes@gmail.com. Easy on the criticisms though. We are pretty sensitive, especially regarding haircuts and dance moves.
The Watanabesは日本を本拠地とするインディロックバンド。マヨネーズ、野球、ミニスカートのようにメンバーは日本生まれではない（ウォルシュ兄弟＝イギリス、ステファン＝スウェーデン、アシュ＝ニュージーランド）が、日本に溶け込んできた。ある程度。
バンドはみかんがごろごろしてる愛媛県で２００５年に細々と活動を始めた。２年後上京し、慌ただしい町・東京に追いついていこうと頑張ってる。アルバムを２枚出し、数えられないほどの写真のためにポーズをとり、たくさんライブをし、イギリスでも”Favourite Tree Records”の紹介イベントを行った。これからももっと計画してるので、よろしく。

Im not sure yet ... probably not cause I dont hv enough money to rent a room this time ... I hv to stay in a friends house somewhere in tokyo ... but I will come everyday ... almost :) h guys are goin to play in january and february?
