My Bands:

I recently had the privilege of working on my good friend Robin Jame's new jazz album, HAVEN. We met a couple years ago at a local Indianapolis Pub. There are a LOT of talented people on HAVEN, and Robin used me as percussionist on 6 of the 13 tracks, and drummer on 2. He also let me do the cover design, and blessed me by asking if he could put an original painting on the back cover!

Please support Robin's music and pick up HAVEN. It's excellent. Click on the picture to jump to Robin's website. You can buy the album there, through CD Baby.

The two tracks on which I played both drums and percussion can be heard on the MP3 player on the left - "SRB" and "Vieques." Check them out.

With his rugged good looks and iconic status, Clint Eastwood was long one of the few actors whose name on a movie marquee could guarantee a hit. Eastwood is also a producer/director, with an enviable record of successes. Born May 31, 1930, in San Francisco, Eastwood worked as a logger and gas-station attendant, among other things, before coming to Hollywood in the mid-'50s.

Born today in 1840, Thomas Hardy was an English author of the naturalist movement. Although he wrote a great deal of poetry, most of it went unpublished until after 1898, thus Hardy is best remembered for the series of novels and short stories he wrote between 1871 and 1895. His novels are set in the imaginary world of Wessex, a large area of south and south-west England, using the name of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom that covered the area. The novels Far from the Madding Crowd (1874) The Mayor of Casterbridge (1886)and Tess of the d'Urbervilles (1891) are among the best known.

Born in May 1840, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a Russian composer of the Romantic era. He wrote some of the most popular concert and theatrical music in the current classical repertoire, including the ballets Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, the 1812 Overture, his First Piano Concerto, several symphonies, and the opera Eugene Onegin.

Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, 1st Marquis of Púbol (May 11, 1904 – January 23, 1989) was a Spanish Catalan surrealist painter. Dalí was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. His painterly skills are often attributed to the influence of Renaissance masters. His best-known work, The Persistence of Memory, was completed in 1931. Dalí's expansive artistic repertoire includes film, sculpture, and photography, in collaboration with a range of artists in a variety of media.
