Since early in 2006, WBPN has been hammering away tirelessly in order to forge new sounds that resonate with people at the most primal human level. Their sound has been described as youthful, fresh and extremely experienced. The sonic complexities and tight, deep grooves of WBPN's material take the listener on a journey from dark mysterious places to places filled with light and exuberance. Being fans of funk, rock, electronica, jazz and more, the average WBPN set can manifest itself in chameleon like ways.
After officially being a band for only four months, WBPN won the 10klf Cosmic Break Contest and earned a slot playing at 10klf. This, in turn, helped to catapult WBPN straight into the ears of many supportive listeners. WBPN continued to play frequent live shows and write original material until spring of 2007 when they once again battled for and won a slot at 10klf. In addition, WBPN has made appearances at Log Jam, Harvest Festival, Fat Fest, Solstice Shakedown, Harmony Festival, Bella Luna, and many more. The music from the WBPN camp has not shown any signs of letting up and the word of mouth buzz about the band, and their shows, is helping to assure a steady climb upward for WBPN in 2008 and beyond.
