Debra Manskey has been working in the music industry all her life and comes from a strong musical background. Most noted as a singer/songwriter of extraordinary depth and passion, she has worked in music administration for organisations such as TasMusic in Australia and is also a highly regarded music educator. Debra regularly conducts workshops and classes on various aspects of her craft and the industry.
Best known as original lead singer with 80's indie darlings & ARIA award-winners Wild Pumpkins at Midnight, Manskey is now based back in her beloved Hobart. She regularly tours to mainland Australia but planning & plotting is underway for a tour of gigs & workshops to the UK as well as north eastern US in the near future.
The four-track single 'Live Sampler' (recorded at Hobart's Peacock Theatre) is unfortunately now sold out but the three original tracks have been posted here for your enjoyment.
Work is well underway for a solo studio album, 'The Woman On The Edge Of The World'. Expected release date is mid '09 but anything could happen - call back soon to keep up to date!
