Enlightening the unenlightened about what real beer is all about, bar by bar, cask by cask. This page is a fizzy, watery, adjunct-laden, mass-produced cat pee free zone!

Craft beer, especially cask-conditioned. I am apparently an 'Uber-beer-geek'!
Heritage transport (no steam engines please though!). For that, I am just an ordinary geek. (Or 'Ned' in some circles).
Not much time for any other hobbies, except an occasional dabble into family history. So there, you have me profiled.
Music
Punk/Rock/Folk: Eastfield, Blyth Power, New Model Army, The Alarm, The Damned, Goldblade.
Mellow: All About Eve, Carla Werner, Kid Loco, Quinn, 10000 Maniacs.
Indie pop: The Tansads, Cuckooland, Shelley's Children.
Radical: Attila the Stockbroker, David Rovics, Robb Johnson, among many others.
There are lots of other favourites I could add, mostly punky and folky independent stuff - but as you noticed, I like many different styles (just like my beer choices).

This page exists to complement my two official beer resource websites (see bottom of 'About Me' for links). It's less formal than those, so expect more about me and what I do rather than mainly reference material.
