Shern grew up listening to the likes of ABBA and the Bee Gees. At the age of 17, he discovered rock music and the electric guitar.
Today his heroes include: EVH, Paul Gilbert, Rosli Mansor, Joe Satriani, Neil Zaza & Andy Timmons. His previous bands include Defuse, a chinese-rock band, they released 2 eps and had a short stint on the inaugural Channel U Show 'Superband'. Most recently, Shern has been sessioning on rhythm guitar for Rosli Mansor's 'Dragged' gigs. Inspired by Rosli, Shern is preparing to go solo and release his first Rock Instrumental EP titled 'In Bloom' in the year 2008.
