"THIS BROADCAST- Indie rock with an Oasis sort of Northern vibe. Bits of Kasabian and The Verve" - Dublin Castle, Camden
"Finally we have This/Broadcast, shoegaze at its finest. Heavily influenced by bands such as The Verve, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Stone Roses, they create a unique soulful wall of noise that forces you to stand and listen!" - Jam, Coventry
we don't need some music journalist to tell you how our songs sound. WE will tell you that they are melodic, anthemic, soulful and meaningful songs with all your hooks and choruses that the small minds need, to be sold a song or two. This is music for people who understand and appreciate it, wherever and whoever it comes from.
this/broadcast are four coventry lads who have come from different areas of the city each growing up listening to influential music and quickly learning the difference between music and proper music. some do and some don't. who cares. those who do understand, will know and appreciate that this/broadcast are good, even great at what they do. influence has come from early nineties and incorporated unique drums and bass with massive sounding guitars. every tune has a point, a focus and it always delivers. whether its sonically or vocally, we prove a purpose. even if it's just us feeling alive at that very moment, its worth every second that goes into this band.
music can come from anywhere. currently, you are here, so enjoy what we have and get down to a gig in the near future, our sound evolves so listen up.
i know man we need one -its shite down here though nones coming out these days. no scene at all. lets work on getting together soon though and smashing it out. cant wait. hope ya all sound. Craig
