About me: The unique atmosphere of the ANU Bar makes it a very popular venue for students and those from outside the university. Take a break in the afternoon sun on the outdoor seating or make a night of it and head to one of the uni bar's concerts and gigs.
HAPPY HOURS are held between 4pm and 6pm Monday to Friday, great low prices on drinks.

Note: The bar will remain open till late on nights when bands are playing.

Who I'd like to meet: All the bands that have played here for a massive feast of music! And maybe beer too! To name a few of our favourite past ANU gigs: Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Ice-T, Faith No More, Everclear, Tool, Cypress Hill, Cog, Korn, Mr Bungle, Black Eyed Peas, Midnight Oil, Reel Big Fish, Blink 182, Wolfmother, Hilltop Hoods, Green Day, Sonic Youth, Tism, Mighty Might Bosstones. And all the other bands & DJ's & outfits that have entertained Canberran's for decades!
This Saturday comes THE metal event of the year in Canberra 10 bands, all HEAVY, all different Doors at 3pm, first band at 3.30pm Tix $20 at the door and it is strictly 18 plus
Thought you'd want to know about a gig at ANU on Saturday 22nd August. The lineup is: ORIPHUS, ENTROPY WITHIN, UNHOLY VENDETTA and CHUD. THis will be an awesome gig!
Even if the day is freezing; a few drinks and some of our music and we will make you feel warm and fuzzy all over! Hope you can make it.
Remember when Canberra was known as the Heavy Metal Capital of Australia? A time when Metal For The Brain drew in people from all over Oz, Alchemist and Armoured Angel dominated the scene Australia wide and bands actually WANTED to play here. Well, Canberra Metal Heads rejoice! The metal gig of the year is almost upon us. 10 bands, all HEAVY, but all different!

The boys are also playing a free all ages gig, that’s right, FREE, at the Woden Youth Centre on September 26 Joining them will be local favourites Zero Degrees plus young guns Fallsuit Theory and West Of The Sun (both these bands are still in high-school!) First band is at 630pm sharp, and don’t forget it is drug and alcohol free!
